  • Communications Test Engineer

    Job Requirements:  Successful candidate will be responsible for the development and/or updating of installation procedures and test plans of various C4I equipment.  In addition will work closely with the customer to perform in process and final testing and troubleshoot and remedy any issues that may arise. Qualifications:  Previous experience with various C4I systems is highly desired.  Candidate will need to be able to adjust to quickly changing requirements.  Must be able to work well with a diverse team and always keep the mission at the forefront. Education:BS degree in Relevant Engineering/Science Field. Experience: Six (6) years of experience in "Relevant Technical Field", to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements. Three (3) years of technical experience in support of "Specific Projects". Note: Experience may be concurrent.

    Engineer Technician III Geodesicx, Inc. is seeking an Engineer Technician III capable of performing a variety of engineering/technical tasks, including but not limited to equipment repair, cabling, inspections, installations, modifications, and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Candidate should be a proficient C5ISR system installer with prior practical experience with Department of Defense, Coast Guard, and/or major commercial telecommunications services or equipment provider. Must be able to interpret specifications, drawings, and blueprints. Position will be based out of Chesapeake, VA with travel required to various work sites throughout the region. Skills and Abilities: Able to understand and comply with drawings completed in accordance with the SPAWAR/NIWC Afloat Installation Process Handbook Highly skilled and experienced in the safe and efficient operation of common installation power and hand tools including hand-held saws, drills, hole punches, levels, crimpers, fusion splicers, and conduit benders Skilled in the operation of all commonly used installation test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, VSWR meters, Bit-Error Rate Test Sets, and Category 5e/6 cable testers Expert in attaching fiber optic connectors, RJ-45 connectors, and DB type connectors, and when dressing cable installations so that the finished product presents a well-organized and professional appearance Maintain a consistent record of good workmanship and compliance to standards Extract and compile a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc. Work with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C5ISR installations Must be able to work in high heat, confined spaces, climb shipyard and dry dock ladders/stairs, work in a kneeling position for cable layouts under false decking, and lift up to 50 pounds Experience:   At least eight (08) years as an installer of C5ISR equipment for the Department of Defense, Coast Guard and/or major telecommunications services/equipment provider.     Geodesicx, Inc. has a full-time job opportunity for someone with hardware engineering support experience to support the U.S. Coast Guard's Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center in Portsmouth, VA. General Description:  Supports installation, testing, verification, repair, diagnostic analysis, and calibration of various systems. Read, draft, and update system drawings, blueprints, bills of materials, and technical manuals; provide oral, written, and on-site troubleshooting assistance; and assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing technical documentation, instructions, procedures, and staging lists. Specific Duties:   Provide hardware, simulator, and sensor troubleshooting and support of laboratories, training classrooms, and fielded systems.   • Program Manager

    We are seeking an experienced Program Manager. The successful candidate will coordinate all of Geodesicx’s efforts in the Mid-Atlantic Region including shipboard/ashore C5ISR installations, marine electronics depot repairs, FMS projects, and marine electronics sales. Responsibilities include compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, and identifying and resolving technical problems. Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Coordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.   Responsibilities : Performs analysis and evaluation throughout the process, application, system, development life-cycle which includes, but is not limited to: planning, requirements, design, acquisition, development, integration, installation/deployment, performance tuning, testing, or training. Performs, or may direct, the development and preparation of detailed analysis and solution recommendations at various stages of a project life-cycle.  Attends and may facilitate meetings to support the accurate delivery of products/assets to the end user. Serves as a liaison between functional and technical specialists. Supervises project team leads and technical/non-technical personnel. Ensures, compliance with, and/or may develop, the standards and organization requirements relative to specific assignments.  Performs configuration management and asset tracking duties. Analyze Requests for Proposals/Quotes and assist in developing technical and pricing sections of proposal. Assist in developing opportunities for new business.   Qualifications : A minimum of 10 years of experience working on and managing C5ISR projects or production. PMP a plus. MS Office (including Project and Access) and Visio experience. Experience with the FAR and government contracting. CMPro and VPMS experience. IUID experience a plus. Ability to professionally represent the project to both the customer and senior management. Experience scheduling complex processes to ensure timelines are met.   • Military Systems Specialist IV - Systems Administrator II (GCCS)

    Job Title Military Systems Specialist IV - Systems Administrator II (GCCS) Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is for an installation technician for GCCS-M/J implementation, maintenance, and site support. The duties will include providing system engineering services such as troubleshooting of technical issues, distance support, and implementation of solutions for hardware, software, system interfaces and network issues. The successful candidate will have GCCS-M/J specific knowledge of system engineering for on-site maintenance/site support processes and will bring system troubleshooting excellence to the Geodesicx team of engineering professionals. Candidate must be motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic about providing GCCS-M/J technical support to our US Navy Fleet customers (Ashore and Afloat). Responsibilities will include software installation of GCCS-M Increment I and II systems onboard U.S. Naval vessels, and Ashore for Program of Record (POR) and Non-POR sites CONUS and OCONUS. Installations will include new GCCS builds including Force Level (FL), Group Level (GL), and Unit Level (UL).
