The Transas electronic chart database provides world-wide coverage and is updated with Notices to Mariners issued by Hydrographic Offices of different countries.

Every Transas MFD workstation (WS) can be equipped with a standard set of software such as ECDIS, Radar, Conning, Chart Assistant utility and SPOS weather module giving the mariner the ability to switch between applications at the touch of a button. All aforementioned applications are running simultaneously as part of the Multifunction Display.

The system is intended for safe collection and storage of voyage data such as ship position, movements, physical condition, bridge commands etc. for a defined time period, with the ability of later playback in accordance with the requirements of IEC 61996-2/61996.
